Regular Estate Agents Stand To Gain £2,797 In Commission On Every Property As House Prices Soar

As house prices soar, I Am The Agent is encouraging potential vendors to get the most from their property sales by choosing a fixed-fee service that will minimise the commission paid to estate agents.

It’s been revealed that traditional agency fees have skyrocketed in line with increasing house prices across the country, with the average agent pocketing an average of £2,797 just for marketing a property. Now the self-service estate agency I Am The Agent is urging those looking to sell a property to maximise their profits by cutting out agency commission and paying a fixed-fee.

Rebecca Peach of I Am The Agent says, “Many estate agents charge a percentage of a final sale as commission, and with the cost of buying a house supremely high right now, the traditional agent’s earnings are rising rapidly. Almost £2,800 is now the average estate agency commission just for marketing a property – that’s money that could be put to many uses for the people selling their houses and relocating.”

She adds, “With a fixed-fee service like ours, people selling their home can be sure that there won’t be any hidden charges, add-ons or fees, even if their house sells for more than the asking price; just a straight-forward upfront payment that covers everything from marketing to viewing management and beyond.”

I Am The Agent is an exclusively online estate agency, with packages that help people to sell property privately without the costly expenditure on fees. The fixed-fee services help keep things simple, hassle-free and cost-effective, without ever compromising on the quality expected of a highly respected agency. All properties are marketing on the UK’s most popular property portals, including Rightmove, Prime Location and Zoopla, with maximum exposure for all clients – at minimum cost. Properties are added in minutes, and seen by thousands of potential buyers all over the world.

I Am The Agent also takes care of the many other elements of selling a house – they can help to arrange valuations, provide free photos and a ‘For Sale’ board, as well as dealing with all enquiries and helping to arrange viewings. The one-off package costs £299 including VAT, and allows those selling their home to act as their own estate agent, telling potential buyers about the benefits of the property, giving them the low-down on the surrounding area and dealing with them as individuals, rather than feeding them the estate agency shtick that is reeled off at every viewing.

In a volatile property market, buyers and vendors want to feel empowered and in control of their own fate – I Am The Agent puts its clients in the driver’s seat and allows them total power over their property and their future, without the need for exorbitant commission and hidden costs.
